On Sunday, Feb. 16, former Cesar E. Chavez Learning Academies-Academy of Scientific Exploration (ase) standout Jizzell Ruiz’s current college team, the Cal State Northridge Matadors, lost 12-10 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Pacific Tigers.

The game took place at Matador Diamond. This was their third matchup against the Tigers this season.

The Matadors’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. at Matador Diamond against Fairleigh Dickinson Knights.
